As reported by Variety, Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ series Ms. Marvel has wrapped filming after finishing up shooting two of its six episodes in Thailand following a filming stint in Georgia, U.S.
The six-part series will follow Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, a New Jersey-raised teenager who discovers that she has special powers with her character arc focusing on finding out who she is and learning about relationships. While specific plot details are being kept under wraps, the series will most likely tie in with the upcoming Captain Marvel sequel, which was recently revealed to be titled, The Marvels, as well as potentially providing details on the next adventure of Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers.

Ms. Marvel sees Iman Vellani starring alongside Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer, Nimra Bucha and Laurel Marsden. Bisha K. Ali is set as co-writer and showrunner, with four directors including Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Adil El Arbi, Billal Fallah and Meera Menon. There is currently no specific release date for the series but the studio has previously stated that it will arrive in late 2021.
