Indie developer Baked Games has announced the release of Prison Simulator: Prologue, a free prequel and demo of what to expect from the upcoming strategy and simulation game, Prison Simulator, set for release later this year on Steam for PC.
This prequel challenges players to become a prison officer and regain control of the prison during a violent prison riot. Players will need to use any means necessary to restore the peace and maintain order. Officers will have access to a range of items with which to subdue violent prisoners and make split second decisions on when to use them. Inmates are running wild with home-made shanks and won’t think twice about stabbing you and to top it all off there’s the prison warden who’s keen on giving you a rough life.
When Prison Simulator is released, players will once again be a prison officer in one of the toughest prisons and will need to manage a variety of tasks for 30 days until a promotion can free you of these. For 30 days players will need to accept new inmates as they arrive, conduct cell shakedowns, seek out contraband items, monitor the yard, carry out surveillance and resolve conflicts between high-profile prisoners.
Prison Simulator will feature:
- A story with an intersting twist.
- Manage fights between inmates.
- Search for contraband goods.
- Play mini-games to relax from the stresses of prison duty.
- Wide variety of weaponry.
Prison Simulator: Prologue is available now for free on Steam.
