We live in a world that almost had Disco Loki, and sadly we’ll never see it. According to Kevin Feige, Marvel had plans for the God of Mischief to run the legendary New York City club, Studio 54.
During a recent interview to promote the Disney+ series , Feige opened up about the idea for a short film featuring the God of Mischief, stating that:
“Early on, [writer] Michael Waldron calls it the low-hanging fruit – those ideas, as Tom would remember for a short film, going back almost a decade for Loki in the ’70s, like running a Studio 54. I think we had some concept art of him on a horse. Thankfully, thanks to Michael and [director Kate Herron], the show became infinitely more interesting than that. And the time periods are almost secondary to the story itself.”
Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”
Loki features a cast that includes Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sasha Lane, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant.
Loki airs on Wednesdays on Disney+.
