Bridgerton breakout star Phoebe Dynevor has found a new project. Deadline reports that the actress will star in and produce Exciting Times, a “contemporary romance with a twist” adapted from Irish author Naoise Dolan’s novel of the same name.
Dynevor will executive produce alongside Dolan and Cooper Raiff (Cha Cha Real Smooth), who will direct. Raiff and Dolan will also co-write the series adaptation.
Exciting Times will see Dynevor in the role of Ava. Ava is “an Irish transplant abroad teaching English grammar to wealthy children, who becomes entangled in a love triangle with banker Julian and lawyer Edith.”
The series will be produced and financed by Black Bear Pictures with the company’s Teddy Schwarzman, Ben Stillman and Michael Heimler executive producing with Dynevor, Dolan and Raiff. Black Bear’s Clementine Quittner and Sleena Wilson also co-produce.
While Dynevor will not be the focus of Bridgerton‘s second season, she will reprise her role as Daphne Bridgerton/Basset, the Duchess of Hastings. Her upcoming projects also include The Colour Room and I Heart Murder.
