Showtime has announced that Your Honor has been renewed for a second season with Bryan Cranston set to reprise his role as Judge Michael Desiato.
Originally billed as a limited series, creator and executive producer Peter Moffat told Showtime he believed he had more to tell in Desiato’s story. The series was submitted in the limited series category for this years’ upcoming Emmys after premiering in December, but it ended up not being nominated for limited series.
“We were blown away by Your Honor … by the power of Peter’s storytelling, by the depth of Bryan’s performance, and by the overwhelming reaction from our subscribers who watched in record numbers,” said Showtime entertainment president Gary Levine. “Imagine our delight when we learned that Peter believed he had more story to tell and Bryan felt he had more depths to plumb. So, along with its millions of fans, I am gleefully shouting ‘Encore!'”
The second season of Your Honor will begin production on another 10-episode season next year for a late 2022 premiere.
Your Honor is a new SHOWTIME limited series and legal thriller that rips through all strata of New Orleans society. Bryan Cranston will star as a respected judge whose son is involved in a hit-and-run that leads to a high-stakes game of lies, deceit and impossible choices.
