Deadline is reporting that Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver), Marion Cotillard, (Annette), Forest Whitaker (Godfather of Harlem) and Tobey Maguire (Spider-Man) have joined the cast of Extrapolations, Apple TV+’s upcoming climate change anthology series from Scott Z. Burns (The Report).
Told over eight interconnected episodes, Extrapolations “tells stories of how the upcoming changes to the planet will affect love, faith, work and family on a personal and human scale, with each story tracking the worldwide battle for our mutual survival spanning the 21st century.”
The new additions join an already star-studded cast which includes Meryl Streep, Sienna Miller, Kit Harington, Tahar Rahim, Matthew Rhys, Daveed Diggs, Gemma Chan and David Schwimmer.
Burns, whose screenwriting credits include Steven Soderbergh’s The Informant!, Contagion, Side Effects and The Laundromat, is serving as writer, director and showrunner on Extrapolations, which is in production now.
