Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner and recent addition to Christopher Nolan’s upcoming Oppenheimer Dane DeHaan, are set to join forces for Wardriver, a high-tech thriller from the writer of Fast 9.
According to THR’s exclusive report, Wardriver focuses on DeHaan’s tech-savvy thief Cole, who is forced to hack into the bank account of a wealthy young woman named Sarah, played by Turner, and empty it of nearly a million dollars. When he discovers that Sarah is being used by a mob-connected lawyer to launder money, Cole sets about trying to save her, but is soon pulled into an elaborate web of lies, deceit and betrayal.
Wardriver will be written and directed by Daniel Casey, whose credits include Fast & Furious 9 and the in-development Battle of the Planets TV adaptation. The film is due to start principal photography this summer.
Wardriver is something of a quick reunion for DeHaan and Turner, the two having recently worked together on HBO Max’s limited series The Staircase, which is due out this year.
