While fans eagerly await the arrival of the third season of the hit comic book adaptation series The Boys, Amazon has announced additional castings for the upcoming college-set spinoff series.
Per Deadline, Patrick Schwarzenegger (The Staircase), Sean Patrick Thomas (The Tragedy of Macbeth) and Marco Pigossi (Invisible City) have all been cast in recurring roles. Although official character details are being kept under wraps, the outlet is reporting that Schwarzenegger will play Golden Boy, Thomas will portray Polarity and Pigossi will play Dr. Cardosa.
Schwarzenegger, Thomas, and Pigossi are set to join previously announced series regulars Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann and Shelley Conn.
Amazon has described the as-yet-untitled spinoff as an “irreverent, R-rated series [and] part college show, part Hunger Games – with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.” It will “explore the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities.”
The series, which is now in production, is by showrunners and executive producers Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, while other executive producers include Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson and Craig Rosenberg, who wrote the original script.
