Having taken the conducting sticks from Steven Spielberg for his A Star is Born follow-up, Bradley Cooper’s Leonard Bernstein biopic Maestro certainly looks the prestige part if these first look images are anything to go by.
Tweeted by Netflix, the images show the transformation undertaken by Cooper to become the titular Broadway composer, as well as Carey Mulligan as his wife Felicia Montealegre. Check out the classy images below…
Maestro will cover 30 years in the life of the legendary conductor, largely telling the complex story of the marriage between Bernstein and his wife, Felicia Montealegre. Succession star Jeremy Strong will also star as American art critic John Gruen, alongside Matt Bomer (Magic Mike XXL) and Maya Hawke (Stranger Things).
Produced by Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Cooper, and his Joint Effort producing partner Todd Phillips, Maestro is set for a theatrical release before debuting on streaming service Netflix sometime in 2023.
