Netflix has announced audiences will get their first look at The Addams Family series Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams next week on June 6th during the streamer’s Geeked Week. Watch it below…
Wednesday is described as a “coming-of-age comedy” and “sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery” by Smallville creators Al Gough and Miles Millar and directed and executive produced by Tim Burton. The series will see Ortega’s Wednesday enrolled at Nevermore Academy as she becomes embroiled in an unsolved mystery at the school.
Wednesday will follow the eponymous Addams Family member as she “attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”

Along with Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán will be seen as Wednesday’s parents Morticia and Gomez, with Christina Ricci also returning to the franchise after starring as Wednesday in the 1990s Addams Family films. Also starring in the series are Gwendoline Christie, Hunter Doohan, Percy Hynes White, Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Georgie Farmer, Naomi Ogawa, Moosa Mostafa also star.
