Disney+ subscribers, mark your calendars, as the official social accounts for the streaming service has announced that Marvel Studios’ latest superhero blockbuster Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be available to all subscribers this month.
The Disney+ premiere of the Doctor Strange sequel comes on June 22nd, just 47 days after the film’s theatrical release in North America, another example of the ever-decreasing theatrical window and a record for Marvel Studios outside of Black Widow’s day-and-date Premier Access release (for comparison, it took 70 days for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings to arrive on Disney+ and 68 days for Eternals).

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently sitting on $881 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing movie of 2022 to date. It did have the potential to become only the second film since the pandemic to pass $1 billion after Spider-Man: No Way Home, although Disney and Marvel must feel that with Top Gun: Maverick soaring and Jurassic World Dominion incoming the superhero sequel has already had its day theatrically.
In Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.
Directed by Sam Raimi, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Benedict Wong (Wong), Rachel McAdams (Christine Palmer), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Mordo), Michael Stuhlbarg (Nicodemus West) and Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) as well as MCU newcomer Xochitl Gomez (The Baby-Sitters Club) as America Chavez.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is in cinemas now and comes to Disney+ on June 23rd.
