Following the success of their current box-office champ M3GAN, Atomic Monster and Blumhouse are already working on their next source of scares, and have tapped up Kerry Condon and Wyatt Russell to star in Night Swim.
According to Deadline Bryce McGuire (Baghead) will write and direct the supernatural thriller, which is built around the hidden source of terror found in an iconic backyard swimming pool. Night Swim is based on the acclaimed 2014 short film that was created by McGuire and Rod Blackhurst.
Production will get underway shortly in order to hit the same new-year release window so successfully occupied by Universal and Blumhouse’s killer-doll. Night Swim is set to open on January 19, 2024.
Next up for Wyatt Russell is AppleTV+’s Godzilla spin-off series, which will see him team up with his father Kurt in order to tackle Legendary’s iconic Titans, before he reprises his Falcon and The Winter Soldier role in upcoming Marvel Studios film Thunderbolts.
Condon can currently be seen stealing the show from Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson in Martin McDonagh’s The Banshees of Inisherin.
