As The Boys enters its spinoff era, we eagerly await the debut of Gen V.
The superhero college spinoff series will premiere later this year and is already looking ahead to more in the future. Deadline reports, “a writing room is starting soon in anticipation of a Gen V season 2 pickup.” The outlet noted that Amazon Prime is pleased with the spinoff’s first season.
Another note from Deadline is executive producer Michele Fazekas will serve as the sole showrunner for the series. Fazekas served as co-showrunner alongside her longtime writing partner Tara Butters, but Deadline notes Butters is taking time off to spend with her family.
The action comedy series explores the lives of the students at America’s only superhero-exclusive college and features a cast that includes Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, Marco Pigossi, Clancy Brown, Alexander Calvert and Jason Ritter.

“Set at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (run by Vought International), Gen V explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the school’s top ranking.”
Gen V is slated to premiere on Prime Video at some point in 2023.
