It’s good news for fans of Amazon Prime Video’s The Terminal List, because not only has the streamer announced a second season of the Chris Pratt led action-thriller, but they’re also developing a prequel series that will focus on Taylor Kitsch’s character.
Based on the Jack Carr novel of the same name, The Terminal List stars Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy) as James Reece, a Navy Seal whose platoon is ambushed during a covert mission, leading to questions about his involvement in the operation that triggers a conspiracy which threatens not only his life, but those he loves.
Friday Night Lights alum Kitsch plays Ben Edwards in the show, a former classmate of Reece’s who now works as a CIA operative. According to Variety, the prequel series would explore his journey from the Navy SEALS to the CIA.
The Terminal List debuted on July 1, 2022 and was second only to Stranger Things during its opening week, where it generated 1.6 million viewing minutes.
As well as Pratt and Kitsch, The Terminal List assembled an impressive cast featuring Constance Wu, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Riley Keough, Arlo Mertz, Jai Courtney, JD Pardo, Patrick Schwarzenegger, LaMonica Garrett, Stephen Bishop, Sean Gunn, Tyner Rushing, Jared Shaw, Christina Vidal, Nick Chinlund, Matthew Rauch, Warren Kole, and Alexis Louder.
