Fresh from their Academy Award winning experiences with the multiverse, Everything Everywhere All at Once directors The Daniels are heading to a galaxy far, far away to direct Disney+ Star Wars series Skeleton Crew.
According to One Take News, and since reported by other outlets, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as The Daniels, are working on Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and will be directing at least one episode of the Jude Law-led series.
It is not known in what capacity the Oscar winners have been working on the series, which wrapped production in recent months, with Lucasfilm and representatives for the Daniels declining to comment.
Executive produced by The Mandalorian‘s Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, created by Marvel’s Spider-Man trilogy director Jon Watts and his frequent collaborator Christopher Ford, the Skeleton Crew is described as a coming-of-age adventure taking place in the same timeframe as The Mandalorian and its various spinoffs, although it’s unclear if there will be any connection between the shows.
The news of The Daniels involvement lands a few weeks before Star Wars Celebration touches down in London, so you can expect some further clarity then. In the meantime let us know what you think of the news by heading to our social channels @FlickeringMyth…
