Trailer for One Day as a Lion starring Scott Caan, Frank Grillo and J.K. Simmons

Ahead of its release this April, a trailer, poster and images have arrived online for the upcoming crime caper One Day as a Lion.

Directed by John Swab, this homage to Tarantino and the Coen Brothers, the film follows lousy hitman Jackie as he desperately attempts to get the money he needs to get his son out of jail, with the help of a waitress he took hostage after a job went wrong. Watch the trailer below…

Jackie Powers (Scott Caan) is a nice guy but a lousy hitman sent to take out a crafty debtor (J.K. Simmons) Jackie only pisses him off. Fleeing the scene Jackie takes bored waitress Lola as a hostage. Jackie needs money to get his son out of jail Lola cooks up a scheme for them to get cash from her dying mother (Virginia Madsen). Meanwhile a thug sent to kill him is sleeping with Jackie’s ex…

One Day as a Lion stars Scott Caan, Frank Grillo, Marianne Rendón, Taryn Manning, George Carroll, Virginia Madsen, and J.K. Simmons.

One Day as a Lion arrives in select cinemas on April 4th, followed by a digital release on April 7th.
