My Cherry Pie trailer delivers a slice of retro slasher horror

April 9, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

BayView Entertainment has released a poster and trailer for the Australian slasher My Cherry Pie.

Directed by Addison Heath and Jasmine Jakupi, the film follows three criminals on the run as they find themselves stranded in the middle of nowhere and forced to take refuge in an abandoned hospital… which just so happens to be the hunting grounds of a sadistic masked killer.

Fresh out of prison, Freddy (Sotiris Tzelios) hooks up with his partners in crime, Jack (Dylan Heath) and Green (Tim Jason Wicks). After a violent series of events, they are forced to flee the city and when their car breaks down, they find themselves stranded in the middle of “bum-fuck nowhere”. Befriended by a curious local, Edwin Crow (Glenn Maynard), who invites them back to the notorious old Pleasant Creek Hospital, where Crow dwells with shy young Cherry (Trudi Ranik). But there’s a shadowy, grotesque figure stalking the grounds, and soon enough the cocktail of illicit drugs and all that stranger danger will collide with wild and brutal results.

Featuring in the cast of My Cherry Pie are Glenn Maynard, Trudi Ranik, Sotiris Tzelios, Dylan Heath and Tim Jason Wicks.
