Disney+ has debuted the first trailer and a poster for the follow-up to the 1997 comedy drama The Full Monty.

Taking place 25 years after the original British smash hit, the 8×60’ series will follow the same band of brothers as they navigate the post-industrial city of Sheffield, and society’s crumbling healthcare, education, and employment sectors. The comedy-drama will uncover what happened to the gang after they put their kit back on, exploring their brighter, sillier and more desperate moments. It will also highlight how the fiercely funny world of these working-class heroes – still residing in Sheffield – has changed in the intervening decades.
Reprising their roles are Robert Carlyle as Gaz, Mark Addy as Dave, Lesley Sharp as Jean, Hugo Speer as Guy, Paul Barber as Horse, Steve Huison as Lomper, Wim Snape as Nathan and Tom Wilkinson as Gerald, alongside new cast members Talitha Wing,Paul Clayton, Miles Jupp, Sophie Stanton, Phillip Rhys Chaudhary, Dominic Sharkey, Natalie Davies, Arnold Oceng, Aiden Cook, and Tupele Dorgu.
And while we’re on the subject of Paul Barber, the Only Fools and Horses legend is also attached to star in our very own movie, the gothic horror The Baby in the Basket! Check out our campaign page for the film here.
The Full Monty series will premiere on Disney+ on June 14th.
