The Tracking Board is reporting that Andrey Ivchenko (Freezer) has signed on for a villain role alongside Vin Diesel in the extreme sports action sequel xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.
The film is currently in production under director D.J. Caruso (Disturbia) and sees Vin Diesel reprising the role of Xander Cage from the 2002 original, while Samuel L. Jackson is back as NSA Agent Augustus Gibbons and Ice Cube is also said to be returning as Darius Stone from the 2005 sequel xXx: State of the Union.
New additions to the cast include Jet Li (The Expendables), Tony Jaa (Ong-Bak), Deepika Padukone (Cocktail), Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries), Ruby Rose (Orange Is the New Black) and UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor.
