As Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren prepare to begin their search for Ezra Bridger, Empire Magazine has unveiled a new image from Star Wars: Ahsoka which seemingly recreates the epilogue of the animated series Star Wars Rebels complete with Rosario Dawson and Natasha Liu Bordizzo as the characters’ live-action counterparts.
“Even at the time I did the Rebels epilogue, I felt like, ‘If I go forward with this, this has to be challenging in another way,’” teases creator and showrunner Dave Filoni in an interview with the outlet. “And the challenge was going to be live-action. I wanted to resolve these things with [Ahsoka], but I wanted to do something new with it.”
Sabine Wren isn’t the only member of Rebels set to make the jump to live-action in Ahsoka, with Eman Esfandi portraying Ezra Bridger, Mary Elizabeth Winstead joining the galaxy far, far away in the role of Hera Syndulla, and Lars Mikkelsen reprising his animated role as Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Ahsoka premieres on Disney+ August 2023.
