Kevin Bacon is set for a return to the small screen and the horror genre as he signs on for the lead in The Bondsman, an action horror series from Blumhouse Television which has just scored a straight-to-series order from Amazon.
The Bondsman will see Bacon playing Hub Halloran, “a backwoods bounty hunter who comes back from the dead with an unexpected second chance at life, and love, and a nearly-forgotten musical career — only to find that his old job now has a demonic new twist.”
As per Deadline, the half-hour action horror series has been created by Grainger David (The Chair), with Erik Oleson, showrunner on season two of Prime Video’s Carnival Row, serving as showrunner. Production will begin once negotiations with labor unions such as the WGA and SAG are resolved.
