Radio Silence have made their name in the horror genre with hits like Ready Or Not, Scream, and their upcoming film Abigail, but the filmmaking trope is moving to another genre.
With their work tinged with comedy, it was no surprise when news broke from Deadline that Radio Silence (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, Justin Martinez, and Chad Villella) was tackling a new comedy movie set to star Andy Samberg. Party Over Here will produce, and the Deadline report notes that Andrew Lanham is on board to pen the script.
At the time of writing, we knew very few plot details about what would happen when the actor teams up with the filmmaking group. What we know now is that it’s described as a robot comedy.
Sanberg made his name on Saturday Night Live and later formed The Loney Island. He broke into film success with Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping and followed it with the indie smash comedy Palm Springs. He also starred on eight seasons of the comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Radio Silence is promoting their upcoming vampire heist film, Abigail. Check out the trailer below…
