Amazon MGM has bought the action comedy Brothers starring Josh Brolin (Dune: Part Two) and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones). The film will have a limited theatrical release before premiering on Prime Video.
Brothers tells the story of “a reformed criminal (Brolin) whose attempt at going straight is derailed when he reunites with his sanity-testing twin brother (Dinklage) on a road trip for the score of a lifetime. Dodging bullets, the law, and an overbearing mother along the way, they must heal their severed family bond before they end up killing each other.”
Starring alongside Brolin and Dinklage are Brendan Fraser (The Whale), Glenn Close (Swan Song), Taylour Paige (Zola), Jennifer Landon (Yellowstone) and M. Emmet Walsh (Knives Out) in a posthumous appearance.
Brothers is directed by Max Barbakow (Palm Springs) from a script written by Macon Blair (The Toxic Avenger) and story from Ethan Coen. It will be released in select theatres on October 11th and premiere on Amazon Prime October 17th.
