Garth Edwards’ upcoming Jurassic World has found itself a new cast member. According to Deadline, Luna Blaise (Manifest) is the latest to join the ensemble of the next dinosaur film.
Blaise joins a cast that includes Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Lincoln Lawyer) and Rupert Friend (Obi-Wan Kenobi). And while no official announcement has been made as yet, Mahershala Ali (Moonlight) is rumoured to be in final talks for the film.
Blaise is most known for her role as Olive Stone in the supernatural mystery series Manifest throughout its four-season run. She also starred in the coming-of-age film Deltopia last year.
Edwards’ Jurassic World is said to be a fresh take that will begin a new set of films in the franchise. It not feature Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard from the previous films, nor will it feature the other legacy actors Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern, all of whom returned for Jurassic World: Dominion.
Edwards will direct from a script written by Jurassic Park’s original screenwriter David Koepp. Frank Marshall and Patricia Crowley are producing, with Jurassic Park director Steven Spielberg executive producing.
The new as-yet-untitled Jurassic World is set for release on July 2nd, 2025.
