Lin Shaye, Bill Moseley and Rae Dawn Chong are Scared to Death in trailer for horror-comedy

June 11, 2024 by Amie Cranswick

A trailer and poster have arrived online for writer-director Paul Boyd’s upcoming horror comedy Scared to Death.

The film follows the cast and crew of an upcoming horror film as their young director Jasper sees an opportunity to boost his career by taking them to an abandoned children’s orphanage to attend a séance, but as the night gets underway the group find themselves trapped in the building with the vengeful ghosts of children and something far more sinister. Watch the trailer below…

Jasper is a young opportunistic filmmaker yearning to climb the Hollywood ladder. While working as a lowly production assistant, he seizes his chance to be a “real” director when he suggests to his cantankerous boss that the crew and actors from their upcoming horror film attend a real séance in an old haunted house for research.

The place they choose is an abandoned children’s shelter that has been closed for 70 years since the mysterious murders of five children in 1942. Ominously, the orphans were discovered scared to death. Once the séance begins, the motley crew find themselves trapped inside the old house and haunted by the children … and something possibly worse.

Scared to Death stars Lin Shaye, Bill Moseley, Rae Dawn Chong, Olivier Paris, Victoria Konefal, B.J. Minor, and Jade Chynoweth. The film is gearing up for a festival run soon.
