Oni Press and Warner Bros. have announced that they will celebrate a decade of cosmic chaos this July with the release of the over-sized one-shot comic Rick and Morty: 10th Anniversary Special which will see writer Alex Firer and artist Fred C. Stresing (Rick and Morty: The Space Shake Saga) reunite to an endless gauntlet of enemies, lovers, and completely inconsequential side characters from the hit animated comedy series.
“It’s an honor to celebrate the decade of writers and illustrators – TV, comics, the designers of my fine Rick and Morty mug – who made Rick and Morty what it is: inescapable icons of the new century of animation,” said writer Alex Firer. “However, this is a comic about Rick cleaning his garage. I know you’re all worried it will all go according to plan, but I can’t lie to the fans, the most noble people on Earth, you deserve the truth! Things get out of hand!!!”
“I’m proud and excited to be a part of this Rick and Morty decennial celebration,” says illustrator Fred C. Stresing, “Did you know that a 10-year anniversary is called a decennial? Now you do! Unlike Alex, I can lie to fans. And I will! This issue is the culmination of ten years of Rick and Morty everything– it all ends here! Uh, yeah… just joking!”
