Horror adventure Nocturnal Visitors launches this Friday with first episode

June 26, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Ratalaika Games and solo developer Miguel H. Death has announced that the first episode of their horror adventure Nocturnal Visitors arrives on PC and consoles on 28th June.  This challenging paranormal adventure will have players investigate events in a story where magic and science, and chaos and order are two sides of the same coin.  Watch the new trailer below….

This first episode tells the story of 16 year old Jamie, who witnesses a paranormal event on an ordinary November night. Shortly after this event he finds himself transported to Aliorbis, a mysterious alternate version of Earth where magic and science coexist in almost perfect harmony and where all our legends are born.  It is here where Jamie learns he is a ‘Visitor’ and can travel between the two Earths and is soon enlisted by ‘SEEK’, a crime fighting organisation tasked with investigating threats to both worlds.

Players will play as multiple characters, including Jamie, although the point of view changes throughout the different chapters. This different point of view, along with differing backgrounds will provide clues to help solve the overall mystery that will develop throughout the series.

Developer Miguel H. Death explains, “Nocturnal Visitors is all about environmental storytelling. The player is highly encouraged to explore all the areas in the game and interact with everything, as ninety percent of the elements present in the game are interactive and provide context for both the plot and characters. While the player is always given clear and simple objectives to make the story progress, were they only to do that, they would probably not be able to understand the story as a whole once the climax of the series is reached. Nocturnal Visitors asks players to be curious and to pay attention to every single piece of information provided by both the plot and the gameplay, as it will be essential to understand the mystery that will develop throughout the series”.

Look out for this immersive paranormal adventure coming to PC and consoles on the 28th June.
