Indie developer Swain Games has announced they will be releasing DEATHWATCHERS, the sequel to the popular horror title DEATHWATCH, on 12th July. In this horrifying sequel players can join up to 3 friends and take part in investigating paranormal happenings and demonic threats.
In DEATHWATCH, players were tasked with investigating haunted locations and observing and recording any paranormal events using a variety of tools. Now, with DEATHWATCHERS, players can play solo or join up to 3 other players and take part in online co-op and experience thrills and chills.
Players will need to use different equipment to find and log a wide variety of different supernatural events while attempting not to annoy whatever dangerous entity is residing there. Once enough information has been gained to determine what ingredients are needed to perform the banishing ritual then it’s time to attempt the banishment. However, should the wrong ingredient be used then the players may never leave and the location may have another paranormal entity.
DEATHWATCHERS includes two different game modes, the brand-new DEATHWATCHERS mode and a legacy CLASSIC mode that allows players to play the new environments and locations while incorporating the original DEATHWATCH gameplay.
Levels are created dynamically to ensure unique investigations with each playthrough and all events occur randomly to help create an atmosphere of tension and suspense. Players will need to travel to their destination, set up their equipment and observe and log any events. Players will also be able to earn their digital currency by streaming their investigations to their in-game viewers using their equipment.
Features:
- Dynamic levels and random events.
- An entity AI that is creepy and intelligent.
- 4-player co-op mode or single player.
- Stream investigations to viewers.
- Dynamic weather generation to add to the atmosphere.
- DEATHWATCHERS mode and a Classic mode.
Look out for DEATHWATCHERS launching on Steam Early Access of 12th July.
