Warner Bros. and DC Studios are letting us peer into the darker recesses of Gotham City once again with another look at their eagerly-anticipated Oswald Cobblepot spin-off series The Penguin, which finds Academy Award nominee Colin Farrell reprising his critically acclaimed role from Matt Reeves’ $770 million grossing The Batman.
The eight-episode limited series picks up a week on from the events of 2022’s The Batman as Colin Farrell’s Oswald ‘Oz’ Cobblepot continues his rise to power in the wake of the death of crime lord Carmine Falcone.
Populating Gotham alongside the titular gangster are Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, Clancy Brown, Carmen Ejogo, François Chau, David H. Holmes and Jared Abrahamson. Watch the trailer below…
Taking place one week following the events of The Batman, the series explores the rise to power of Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot/Penguin in Gotham City’s criminal underworld.
