Solo developer Paul Cornel of Galactic Crows has unveiled their latest indie horror title, Psychopathy Assessment, which will be launching on Steam a little later this month. Psychopathy Assessment is a PS1-style analog horror game with retro 80’s VHS style visuals that will carry out a chilling test on players.
Psychopathy Assessment has an eerie VHS aesthetic that follows players through a psychopathy test where every decision has very profound consequences. The VHS visuals will have the screen flickering and tape distorting as though the player was watching an old video, and as they watch they will be subjected to a series of questions that dives into their darkest thoughts. This is no simple personality exam, this is a psychopathy test where the answers alter both the atmosphere and the final outcome.
Once the test is complete, the game changes into a PS1-style game where players take the role of a character that must live through the consequences of the test results. With this shift from psychological examinations to story-driven horror, players will be kept on the edge of their seats.
Featuring:
- A retro 80s analog horror experience.
- A series of questions that will lead to very different outcomes.
- Each decision made affects the atmosphere of the game world and ultimately the ending.
- An immersive VHS filter with distortions and tape glitches that worsen the further the player progresses.
- Multiple endings based on the choices made.
Psychopathy Assessment will be arriving very soon on Steam.
