Over the Moon and developer Treetop have announced the release of their 4-player comedy horror game Terrorbytes on Steam Early Access. This comedy horror title, inspired by Tron and Stranger Things, features a sadistic computer virus, an old arcade cabinet and a terribly mangled retro arcade hero.
When four friends visit the arcade for a fun day of video games they are sucked into an arcade machine controlled by a terrible and sadistic virus, which has turned everything upside down. The virus forces the friends to take the role of the game’s old villains, ghosts, and run from the mangled game’s hero ‘Mrs Croak-Man’. Taking the role of the four friends, players will need to survive long enough to uncover the cause of this strange happening and escape.
Players will run around a maze and collect pellets as they go. All pellets collected will go into a shared energy pool and are used to reach the game’s collection targets or used to purchase upgrades. These upgrades can include a torch, a power washer or even a range of map-room upgrades allowing the spawning of decoys, arrows and more. Players will need to work together to ensure the energy is managed carefully as everything has a cost.
The Early Access version of Terrorbytes brings five cleverly designed levels, four different playable characters, five tools and six safe room upgrades with more to be added as time goes on.
Visit Steam now and enjoy the horror and comedy of Terrorbytes. Purchasers can enjoy a 10% discount until 29th October.
