Guy Ritchie doesn’t hang around when it comes to making movies and assembling an impressive cast, and he has done both by announcing that Benedict Cumberbatch, Rosamund Pike, and Anthony Hopkins are set to star in his next feature film, Wife & Dog.
Described as a “return to the colourful, back-stabbing world of the British aristocracy Richie explored in The Gentlemen film and TV series” in Deadline’s report, Wife & Dog is set to go before the cameras in February 2025.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but Ritchie will write the screenplay, and produce alongside also producing partner Ivan Atkinson (The Covenant) and Black Bear’s John Friedberg (The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare).
Next up for the prolific director is action-thriller In the Grey, which focuses on two extraction specialists, played by Jake Gyllenhaal and Henry Cavill, who have to designate a route of escape for a senior female negotiator. Set for release in January 2025, the film also stars Eiza González (3 Body Problem) and the aforementioned Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl).
