Image Comics, Skybound Entertainment and Hasbro have announced that they will mark Free Comic Book Day 2025 with the release of Energon Universe 2025 Special, which will serve as a new jumping on point to this shared Transformers and G.I. Joe shared universe as well as serving up three all-new stories.
“We’re excited to again participate in Free Comic Book Day and offer some terrific, original stories that are integral to the Energon Universe,” said Executive Editor Ben Abernathy. “Fans are going to be shocked and delighted by what we have in store!”
Energon Universe 2025 Special will feature three tales and promises “stunning revelations for the worlds of G.I. Joe, Transformers, and Void Rivals” from writers Joshua Williamson (Duke), Robert Kirkman (Invincible), and Daniel Warren Johnson (Extremity) and artists Johnson, Andrea Milana (Cobra Commander) and Conor Hughes (White Ash).
