The Indirect Castle Retreat gets a trailer ahead of February release

January 11, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Solo developer PaulChristianIndieGame has announced that their spooky mystery, exploration adventure game, The Indirect Castle Retreat, will launch on Steam for PC this February.  This upcoming game will task survivors with escaping the mysterious castle and those who pursue them.

Taking the role of a travel photographer, players begin the mystery by visiting a castle for a photo shoot.  Unfortunately, somebody clobbers our brave protagonist over the head and when he comes to it is the middle of the night. Unaware of where they are but aware they are not alone, it is up to players to explore the confines of the castle, discover and interact with objects that will aid progress, and try to avoid the ghostly activity.

This haunting exploration title features:

  • Journey throughout the eerie castle by walking, running and jumping, and find a way out.
  • Look at and interact with objects to uncover the story of the castle.
  • Seek out and pick up the objects that will be needed to progress through the castle.
  • Explore the castle with care and be wary of the ghostly activity that threatens to harm you.  Avoid the jump scares.
  • Discover bonus items scattered throughout the castle.

The Indirect Castle Retreat will launch on Steam this February and can be added to wishlists now.
