Wargaming has announced that World of Tanks Blitz, their free-to-play tank battler, is about to get the most significant update in the game’s history. The upcoming Reforged Update will take the game into a new chapter with revamped graphics and physics, and an upgrade to Unreal Engine 5. It’s also been announced that the first Ultra Test for this will begin on 24th January. Watch the new trailer below to see what’s in store with Reforged…
As mentioned above, the new Reforged Update will upgrade the game to Unreal Engine 5. This is a huge upgrade that will accelerate future development as well as enhance gameplay. Once the upgrade has occurred, players should be able to notice an improvement in the realism of the graphics as they steer their tanks over the battlefield. The physics will also be revamped so that the tanks will have more dynamic lighting and more realistic tank movements.
Players can expect to see a variety of new crew leaders with unique backstories and abilities thanks to the redesigned Commander system. Plus, there’s a streamlined progression system that arranges vehicles into themed groups, this will make it easier for those who want to build up their collection of tanks.
There’s also plenty of work carried out to revitalise the maps, with advanced visuals, impressive weather effects and a clearer map layout for better immersion.
Player’s will not need to worry about their own progress as that and previously acquired assets will be completely unaffected, leaving players to simply log in as usual and witness the beauty the new update has brought. Those wanting a first look at the new features before the launch can sign up for the first Ultra Test here.
Look out for the Reforged Update coming to World of Tanks Blitz soon.
