Two months after the conclusion of the revival’s second season, Paramount+ has opted against renewing Frasier, with THR reporting that producers CBS Studios is currently looking to find a new home for a possible third season of the show.
Premiering on Paramount+ in 2023, the new Frasier saw Kelsey Grammer reprising his role as Dr. Frasier Crane from Cheers and the long-running original NBC series, with the character returning to his home in Boston in an attempt to reconnect with his estranged son Freddy, played by Jack Cutmore-Scott.
Along with Grammer and Cutmore-Scott, the series also starred Nicholas Lyndhurst, Toks Olagundoye, Jess Salguiero and Anders Keith, as well as guest appearances from Frasier veterans Bebe Neuwirth (Lilith), Peri Gilpin (Roz), Dan Butler (Bob “Bulldog” Briscoe), Edward Hibbert (Gil Chesterton) and Harriet Sansom Harris (Bebe Glazer).
While we await news about a possible new home for a third season, the first two seasons – and the original show – will continue to remain available for streaming on Paramount+.
