Netflix has renewed its legal drama The Lincoln Lawyer for a fourth season with production scheduled to begin next month. The series was created by David E. Kelley and is based off the novel series by Michael Connelly with the new season to be based on The Law of Innocence.
In addition to its renewal, the streaming studio also announced Neve Campbell will return from her season three guest role and has been promoted to a series regular for season four.
The Lincoln Lawyer follows Mickey Haller, an iconoclastic idealist who runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln as he takes on cases big and small across Los Angeles.
The series stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey with Becki Newton as Lorna, Jazz Raycole as Izzy and Angus Sampson as Cisco. Campbell will reprise her role as Maggie McPherson after her two-episode stint in season three.
“We are so excited to tell more stories with Mickey Haller, and especially thrilled to once again be shooting The Lincoln Lawyer in Los Angeles at this time,” co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez said. “The show is in many ways a love letter to our city and an homage to the great tradition of LA noir, and after the tragedy of the fires we are so grateful and honored to be able to provide some stability and hope to the community.”
Like its previous seasons, season four will run for 10 episodes. A premiere window is unknown at this time.
