French-Belgian studio The Shady Gentleman will be launching their debut title SteamDolls on Steam Early Access on 11th February. This stealth/action platformer takes players through a comic book-inspired steampunk city that’s on the verge of collapse. See more in the new announcement trailer below…
SteamDolls puts players in the role of The Whisper, a protagonist who is bloodthirsty, witty and a little nutty, to travel through a labyrinthine steampunk city and discover its secrets. The city is split across unique zones such as an overgrown chapel, an area that looks to be made of flesh, an electrified industrial bunker, an area overrun by an insect-like infection and more.
As players roam the city there will be a wealth of treasures to be discovered, these can be put to good use back at the player’s base by upgrading The Whisper and his abilities to better suit the player’s play style. It can also unlock lore, cutscenes and some of the finest trophies can even be put on display.
The city holds many enemies that want to get rid of The Whisper and players will have to balance stealth and brutality. The decision is in the player’s hands, does The Whisper lurk in the shadows and slip past enemies undetected or will he leap into combat and use devastating finishing moves.
Featuring:
- Stealth-lite that mixes platforming and brutal action.
- Gruesome finishing moves.
- Use hacking skills to discover world memories, solve puzzles and more.
- Comic book-inspired 2D meets 3D aesthetics.
