Tripwire Interactive has announced that the highly anticipated Killing Floor 3 will not be launching on the 25th March and instead will release later this year, with the exact date to be announced. The announcement, made directly to its community, highlights how the feedback from their recent closed beta didn’t hit the mark.
Issues touched upon in the announcement included performance and stability issues, UI/UX lighting and weapon feel. There are also options for fans of the franchise who have pre-ordered, to get a refund. You can read the announcement below…
This latest title in the popular franchise takes players to 2091, seventy years after the events of the previous title. The megacorp Horzine has produced the ultimate army of obedient, bio-engineered, monstrous creatures called Zeds. Taking the role of a member of the rebel rogue group known as Nightfall, players must eliminate these infernal beasts and protect the future of humanity.
Players will be able to use a variety of weapons, from katanas to flamethrowers, as they battle the hordes in different locations and will be able to use the environment to their advantage by activating fans, turrets and more.
To ramp up the intensity and the excitement, players will be able to join forces with up to five teammates and proclaim themselves the ultimate Zed extermination squad.
Keep an eye out for further updates on Killing Floor 3’s progress.
