Vanity Fair has given us the first look at Dexter: Resurrection, continuing the story of Dexter Morgan after his near-death at the end of New Blood. The photos show off our first looks at returning stars Michael C. Hall, James Remar, Jack Alcott and David Zayas as well as new cast members Uma Thurman and Peter Dinklage.
In addition to the first batch of photos, Deadline has reported new casting news for the upcoming series with Marc Menchaca (Ozark) and Reese Antoinette (Bad Monkey) joining the cast. Menchaca will play Red while Antionette is Joy, the headstrong daughter to Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine’s character Blessing Kamara.
Dexter: Resurrection will not only feature the return of several original series stars, but also Jimmy Smits and John Lithgow reprising their antagonist roles as Miguel Prado and the Trinity Killer in presumably cameos or flashbacks.
New additions to the cast for Resurrection include Uma Thurman as Charley, Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva and Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera. Previously announced stars are Neil Patrick Harris, who will play Lowell, Krysten Ritter as Mia Lapierre, Eric Stonestreet as Al and David Dastmalchian as Gareth.
Dexter: Resurrection will premiere this summer.
