It has been a while since we’ve heard any update on the fourth Riddick film, Riddick: Furya, after it began filming last summer, but series lead Vin Diesel has now teased news of the sequel is “incoming”.
Diesel first starred as Richard B. Riddick in the 2000 sci-film Pitch Black, playing a convicted felon trapped on a desolate planet with his capturers and other civilians and became their only source of survival due to his deadly skills. It was followed up with two sequels, The Chronicles of Riddick in 2004 and Riddick in 2013.
Diesel’s Instagram post was brief with only a new image from Riddick: Furya with the caption “Incoming… Riddick…”. Whether this means we’ll soon get a trailer, release date or even an official cast announcement is unknown, but fans can look forward to Diesel revealing something of the film. The film will be directed by series director David Twohy from a script he wrote.

Riddick: Furya follows Riddick as he finally returns to his home world, a place he barely remembers, and one he fears might be left in ruins. But there, he finds other Furyans fighting for their existence against a new monster. And some of these Furyans are more like Riddick than he could have ever imagined.
