During a recent Q&A, Italian director and producer Luca Guadagnino has reportedly revealed some details on the cast for his planned remake of Dario Argento’s horror classic Suspiria.
According to writer Alex Heller-Nicholas on Twitter, Guadagnino suggested that Suspiria will see him re-team with Tilda Swinton and Dakota Johnson, both of whom appear in his latest film A Bigger Splash, as well as composer John Adams, who scored I Am Love. He also revealed that he’ll be setting the film in Berlin in 1977, and is heavily influenced by acclaimed German filmmaker Rainer Werner Fassbinder.
A remake of Suspiria has been in the works since 2008, with David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express) originally attached to direct, and Guadagnino had been planning to commence production last month.
