Variety is reporting that Charlie Sheen and Whoopi Goldberg have signed on to star in the action drama Nine Eleven, which is being directed by Martin Guigui (The Bronx Bull).
The film will reolve around five individuals trapped in an elevator in the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2011. Sheen and Goldberg will be joined in the cast by Luiz Guzman (Narcos), Wood Harris (Ant-Man) and Olga Fonda (Real Steel).
“We are immensely grateful to bring this inspirational story to life. ‘Nine Eleven’ is a highly emotional journey and it took a dynamic bunch to collectively come together to make this unique film happen,” said Guigui. “We are fortunate to have such a gifted cast on board.
