Back in February, it was announced that NBC and show creator Tim Kring are resurrecting the cult TV show Heroes for a new “stand-alone story” entitled Heroes Reborn, and now Entertainment Weekly brings word that the revamp will get underway with an online prequel, creatively titled Heroes Reborn: Digital Series.
The online prequel is part of a new digital initiative from NBC, and will be promoted across the TV network and air first digitally, including NBC’s websites, Hulu, and video on demand.
“It’s exciting to bring original content to the forefront on all of our digital platforms, “ said Robert Hayes, Executive Vice President, Digital Media, NBC Entertainment. “We are lucky to once again be in business with some of the top producers in Hollywood making new content to further engage fans.”
