Production underway on Robert Zemeckis’ Allied starring Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard

Paramount Pictures and GK Films have announced that principal photgraphy is underway on the romantic thriller Allied, which is being directed by Robert Zemeckis (The Walk) from a script by Steven Knight (Dirty Pretty Things) and stars Brad Pitt (Fury) and Marion Cotillard (Macbeth).

Allied tells the story of intelligence officer Max Vatan (Pitt), who in 1942 North Africa encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Reunited in London, their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressures of the war.

Allied is shooting in London and the Canary Islands, and is set for release on November 23rd. Also featuring in the cast are Jared Harris (Mad Men), Lizzy Caplan (The Interview) and Matthew Goode (The Imitation Game).
