Emilia Clarke says she won’t be back for more Terminator movies

April 21, 2016 by admin

It’s more bad news for the Terminator sequels.

The original plan was for a trilogy of movies, but the producers announced shortly after Terminator: Genisys‘ release that the series was postponed, and then Paramount officially pulled the plug. This came off the back of Terminator: Genisys bombing at the box office, becoming one of the biggest flops of 2015.

Although Arnold Schwarzengger seems to think more films will happen, Emilia Clarke won’t be back for another outing.

When asked by ComingSoon if she would be returning, the Game of Thrones star simply replied, “no.”

“Can I say that?”, she added. “It’s okay. No. Uh-uh. But I have some very different roles coming up.”

From this, can we assume the trilogy is off? Or will they just re-cast the role?

Terminator: Genisys opened to a very poor $27 million and only made $89 million domestically against a reported budget of $155 million. It performed better overseas, however, bringing its total to $440 million worldwide.
