Fresh from directing Michael Fassbender in The Weinstein Company’s upcoming adaptation of Macbeth, Australian filmmaker Justin Kurzel (Snowtown) has now entered negotiations to reunite with the actor on the big screen version of Ubisoft’s hit video game series Assassin’s Creed.
Assassin’s Creed is currently undergoing a rewrite from Adam Cooper and Bill Collage (Exodus), and is set for release on August 7th 2015. It is one of several Ubisoft adaptations in the works, with Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity) set to direct Tom Hardy (Locke) in Splinter Cell, and Watch Dogs, Ghost Recon, Rabbids and Far Cry all in development.
