Dwayne Johnson teases Rampage script session, confirmed as his next movie

February 22, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Among the multitude of projects on Dwayne Johnson’s slate is a big screen adaptation of the beloved 80s video game Rampage, and The Rock has taken to Instagram to announce that it is set to be his next movie, with production getting underway in April. Johnson shared the following image, taken during a six-hour script session:

The game revolved around three gigantic monsters – a gorilla, lizard and wolf – who have to smash up various buildings whilst fending off the military. Plot details for the movie are being kept under wraps, but it has been confirmed that the three monsters will feature (although I’d be surprised if they’re called George, Lizzie and Ralph).

Rampage will reunite Johnson with his Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and San Andreas director Brad Peyton, while the cast so far includes Naomie Harris (Moonlight),  Joe Manganiello (True Blood) and Marley Shelton (Solace).
