The Jurassic World sequel sees J.A. Bayona taking over directing duties from Colin Trevorrow, who has his hands full at the moment with development on Star Wars: Episode IX. Trevorrow remains attached as an executive producer alongside Steven Spielberg and has also penned the script with his regular collaborator Derek Connolly.
Although plot details are being kept under wraps, we do know that the film will see the return of Howard and her Jurassic World co-star Chris Pratt, while new additions to the cast include Toby Jones (Captain America: The First Avenger), Rafe Spall (Black Mirror), Justice Smith (The Get Down), Ted Levine (Silence of the Lambs), James Cromwell (The Young Pope) and Daniella Pineda (The Detour).
The as-yet-untitled sequel is set for release on June 22nd, 2018.
