Supergirl casts iZombie’s Rahul Kohli as Biomax

March 2, 2017 by Ricky Church

Supergirl has announced a casting choice for its 18th episode, ‘Ace Reporter’ with Rahul Kohli guest starring. Kohli also stars in The CW’s iZombie, and in Supergirl he will play Jack Sphere, better known as the villain Biomax.

As the CEO of Biosphere Technologies, Sphere comes to National City to present his latest technology to the world. Kara and her boss Snapper Carr are reporting on the event and also discover he has a past with Lena Luthor. In the comics, Sphere created something called the Biomax Process which altered genetic tissue in an effort to improve food production. However, his experiment went wrong and he was pushed into a vat of the Biomax chemical, giving him a gaseous, corporeal form along with the ability to possess people.

“I’m so excited to be working on Supergirl starring as Jack Spheer,” Kohli told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s given me the chance to continue my relationship with The CW as well as fulfill my goal of meeting a Kryptonian.”

‘Ace Reporter’ will also focus on the importance of journalism, as producer Andrew Kreisberg explained: “That’s actually been very important to us, especially in the times we now find ourselves living in; we’re one of the few shows on television that actually has a journalist as a lead character. We really get a chance to talk about the importance of journalism, and the importance of journalism ethics, and how important it is to have the objective truth be out there now.”

Supergirl‘s ‘Ace Reporter’ will air on March 27 on The CW.
